Pandora's Jar, Batwing Handles

About this Piece

This listing is for my exhibition piece, Pandora's Jar. It has batwing-esque handles. The lid pull is a hand sculpted point glazed in Vintage gold glaze, the inside is glazed in glossy black, the rest is glazed in a green combination glaze.

Please note, this is meant as a decorative piece only. The lid rests on top but doesn't "fit" - it sits on top. You can use felt or museum wax to make it fit better. - you could also remove the lid and use as a vase.

White Stoneware Clay for functional pottery and lead free, food safe glazes.

How it's Made

Each piece is made by me, Lindsay Keating in my studio in southeastern PA. I throw each piece on the pottery wheel, trim it, sculpt any additional elements such as a handle/make any alterations, carve and/or paint by hand, glaze and fire it twice.

Care Info

This item is food safe and microwave safe! I recommend hand washing.

This is a handmade item, expect minor flaws, that’s the beauty of handmade! :)
