This item is discounted because it's one of the first graters I made and the grater has smaller holes. It still works maybe slightly less than the larger hole design that I settled on.

About this Piece

Meet my Vampire Garlic Grater & Herb Stripper! Have you ever wanted to kill a vampire? Now is your chance to do it in your very own kitchen! I slab built this piece individually. Each face is carved in relief for the 3D effect. Each grater is hand painted with multiple layers of underglaze and then glazed in clear on top.

This piece has dark green skin, light blue lips and red and orange and red eyes!

How to Use

Sit the grater on a flat surface, you can place it on a kitchen towel for additional stability if you like, take a clove of garlic and run it back and forth over the grater mouth. Use a pastry brush or food brush to easily remove the garlic. 

The pierced ears are herb strippers. They are in 3 or 4 sizes for different sized herbs.

White Stoneware Clay for functional pottery and lead free glazes.

How it's Made

Each piece is made by me, Lindsay Keating in my studio in southeastern PA. I throw each piece on the pottery wheel, trim it, sculpt any additional elements such as a handle/make any alterations, carve and/or paint by hand, glaze and fire it twice.

This item is food and microwave safe. Hand washing is recommended.
