About this Piece

This listing is for my exhibition piece, Pandora's Jar. The lid doesn't fit snugly but it fits! You could use felt or museum wax to make it fit more snugly.  The lid pull is a hand sculpted point glazed in Vintage gold glaze, the inside is glazed in glossy black, the top is glazed in a green combination glaze, the rest is hand carved and then glazed in clear glaze.

Please note, this is meant as a decorative piece only - could also be used as a vase.

Materials

White Stoneware Clay for functional pottery and lead free, food safe glazes.

How it's Made

Each piece is made by me, Lindsay Keating in my studio in southeastern PA. I throw each piece on the pottery wheel, trim it, sculpt any additional elements such as a handle/make any alterations, carve and/or paint by hand, glaze and fire it twice.

Care Info

This item is food safe and microwave safe! I recommend hand washing.

This is a handmade item, expect minor flaws, that’s the beauty of handmade! :)
