Original Plague Doctor Mug

About this Piece

This listing is for one mug in my original design featuring a hand carved Plague Doctor on black on the front and a rat on the back. Plague Doctor glazed in clear, the inside and handle are glazed in glossy black and the outside is sponged with a brown stain - Please note, the feel of the outside is not smooth, since it is unglazed, it has a matte, slightly rough texture.

Your choice of Walnut or Chestnut stain.

White Stoneware Clay for functional pottery and lead free glazes.

How it's Made

Each piece is made by me, Lindsay Keating in my studio in southeastern PA. I throw each piece on the pottery wheel, trim it, sculpt any additional elements such as a handle/make any alterations, carve and/or paint by hand, glaze and fire it twice.
